What is 'paahijen ScratchPad' ?

Did you ever want to write a blog or send a mail to your folks in the language you normally use? Did you not use the english text to write in your language? Actually, we thought, if people want to speak, write and express in their language, why not make their life a little easier? 'ScratchPad' is a paahijen application that lets you write a text in english and you can get the output in 'your' language. Then you can simply Cut-Copy that text to anywhere you want. It's really simple, edit the text in the box provided, an instant feedback is provided below to quickly correct your mistakes and when you are done, you simply press 'Refresh' button that displays text in your language. Now you can use the 'good old Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V' to paste it wherever you want!

My "so and so" complains that whenenver I send them a mail they only see 'squares' or some garbled text. What is the problem?

Most likely the 'unicode' support is not enabled. Check the following page on wikipedia that explains how to enable support for 'Indian Languages' in your browser/platform. There are some problems with yahoo! mail and rediffmail. Basically they don't use a standard font (encoding) that is used for 'unicode'. To enable this enable UTF-8 encoding in the browser. This is explained on wikipedia as well. Still if something doesn't work for you, send a mail to 'support_at_paahijen_dot_com' and we'll help you.

I don't know how to write quickly in my language, some quick help please.

Actually the best way to get started is start typing in 'ScratchPad' and check feedback. If you are still puzzled, check our language-help section to find what you want. If that doesn't help you still, there is something wrong in what we are doing and we'd fix it as soon as possible. To let us know please write to us at 'support_at_paahijen_dot_com', we'll look at it at once.

What is MarkDown? How do I use it?

Web pages use HTML, which is a mark-up language. That means different tags in the web page enable to render the output in a specific format (eg. Bold, Underline or embedding an image) in your browser. 'MarkDown' is a reverse of Markup - which means you write a text file following simple rules and then after processing your text, mark-up ie. HTML is generated, which the browser understands and you can see properly formatted text in your browser. For more help on this see wikipedia article.
